Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Epsilon Tau Chapter would like to ask you to join us in participating in our Backpack and Toiletries Drive as part of our May Week. The chapter will conduct an ongoing drive, leading up to the event on Wednesday, April 7th. We ask that in the meantime you collect toiletries and backpacks or small bags for children in the foster care system. The Backpack and Toiletries Drive event will take place, Wednesday, April 7th, 6:00-9:00pm at Children's Aid Society: Dunlevy Milbank Center: 14 West 118th Street NY, NY. We will have a guest speaker from an adoption agency discuss the state of foster care and adoption in New York. Our keynote speaker of the evening, Ms. Lashawn Jones, past Epsilon Tau Chapter member, will shed light on her experience from both sides of the system, as a child raised in foster care, and a current social worker in New York. We are excited to kick off our May Week raising awareness for the much overlooked system of foster care and adoption!
